Spencer, Mass. — FLEXcon’s latest graphic material, shelf-ART, creates a billboard on a horizontal shelf surface. Graphics can include small, repeated logos and pictures as part of the larger design, or include solid colors. As product is removed from the shelf, the logo or photo appears.

“This will help the product stand out on the shelf,” says Mike Chevalier, FLEXcon’s new business development manager, about shelf-ART’s benefits. One brand they worked with said the product “protects my space.”

Shelf-ART is made from pressure-sensitive material such as vinyls and metallized films, that can be made according to the brand’s image needs. “The thickness of the film and overlaminate is important to the installation process,” says Chevalier. “Shelf-ART combines the right film and overlaminate to the aesthetic and performance requirements for application.”

The material adheres to standard shelves and removes cleanly. The durable material is resistant to product contents and the retail environment. It adheres with a removable adhesive to various shelf types, including stainless steel, painted metal, plastic and wire racks.

In addition, shelf-ART can be used with other FLEXcon products as part of a larger marketing program. Floors, windows, counter graphics, shelf-talkers, packaging and on-package promotions can all match to create a consistent product branding message, explains Chevalier.

“As a major brand told me,” he says, “the technology will support the brand as it stands alone on the shelf even if the product is not fully faced.”
